The vegan lifestyle has exploded in the Mother City over the last couple of years, as people are discovering the benefits of foregoing meat, dairy and eggs in favour of veggie burgers, tofu scramble, smoothie bowls and cashew-nut cheese.

This October, join us for our third annual Cape Town Vegan Challenge where we challenge you to eat plant-based for one month. In case this seems impossible, we’re making it as easy as (vegan) pie with over 20 festive food-centered events:

  • a vegan cheese & wine
  • cooking demonstrations
  • film screenings
  • dinners at Cape Town’s top restaurants

…and MORE!

Find out why so many people are choosing a different way of living and eating: there are myriad benefits to one’s health to let go of meat, dairy, eggs and other animal products; the environment benefits enormously from a reduction in animal agriculture; and of course, animals everywhere benefit from being left alone!

This year, Vegilicious has partnered with a whole bunch of companies and eateries to make the challenge better than ever. We’ve received significant support from the Center for Effective Vegan Advocacy (CEVA) as well as Fry’s Family Foods, and thanks to them we’ve planned some amazing experiences for Capetonians!
